For more than two decades, attorney Lazaro G. Blanco has represented individuals and families facing some of the most difficult and consequential moments of their lives.
Mr. Blanco earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, in 2005 and has practiced law for more than 21 years. His practice has focused primarily on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury, with extensive courtroom and litigation experience throughout his career.
In criminal matters, Mr. Blanco has represented clients across the full spectrum of the justice system—from civil citations and misdemeanor offenses to serious felony prosecutions and homicide cases. He has tried numerous cases before Florida juries and has obtained favorable verdicts in multiple felony jury trials. That experience has taught him that effective criminal defense requires more than simply appearing in court. It requires careful preparation, a thorough understanding of the evidence, candid advice to the client, and the willingness to take a case to trial when circumstances require it.
Mr. Blanco approaches every case individually. He believes clients deserve an attorney who will explain the process, discuss both the strengths and weaknesses of the case, identify the available options, and provide straightforward advice without making promises that no attorney can responsibly make.
That philosophy is reflected in the experiences shared by many former clients, who frequently describe Mr. Blanco as responsive, accessible, knowledgeable, hardworking, and direct. Clients have also emphasized his willingness to personally communicate with them, explain complicated legal issues in understandable terms, and remain involved throughout what can be an extremely stressful process.
While criminal defense has been a substantial part of his career, Mr. Blanco has also represented clients in divorce and family law matters, personal injury claims, and other legal matters affecting individuals and families. Regardless of the type of case, his goal remains the same: understand the client's circumstances, provide realistic legal advice, prepare thoroughly, and pursue the best outcome reasonably available under the facts and the law.
After more than 21 years of practice, Mr. Blanco continues to personally represent clients and appear in court because he believes experienced legal representation should still be personal. When someone hires Blanco Law Center, that person's case is not simply a file number. It is a legal problem that can affect a person's freedom, family, finances, career, and future—and it deserves to be treated accordingly.
Experience matters. Preparation matters. Communication matters. And when the stakes are high, who stands beside you matters.
